Clean Air Fume Cupboards: Containment, Innovation & Sustainability.
Clean Air is a UK market-leading designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art fume cupboards, ventilated enclosures, extract systems, and sustainable fume cupboard solutions for laboratory environments.
We’re located in Bolton and we’re committed to innovation and environmental responsibility. Clean Air’s ambition is to transform the fume cupboard industry by offering cutting-edge products and pioneering technologies, and eliminating the use of harmful greenhouse gases. Our latest exciting initiative is the introduction of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to our R&D and type-testing processes.
At Clean Air, we take our responsibility to protect laboratory personnel very seriously, and we understand the critical importance of safety and efficiency in laboratory operations. Our user-friendly fume cupboards are designed to provide the highest levels of containment.
We also recognise our duty to be as environmentally responsible as possible. We offer energy-efficient fume cupboard systems to empower our clients to cut their carbon emissions, and we are working hard to continuously reduce our carbon footprint. Since 2017, we have cut our emissions by 50%, even as our turnover has doubled.
Our innovative integration of CFD simulations into our processes has eliminated the need for the damaging greenhouse gas SF6 gas (the industry standard). What’s more, using this technology we can optimise airflow within fume cupboards, enhancing safety and energy efficiency. We’ve even improved the containment of our newest fume cupboard – the PPX – by 70% using CFD to design and optimise it! We’re the only fume cupboard manufacturer worldwide with this level of advanced CFD expertise.
