Role & Responsibilities
Planning and maintaining a regular cleaning schedule
Cleaning all areas of the building, including lab spaces, bathrooms, kitchen and office areas
Restocking toiletries and consumables (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels etc.)
Dusting, vacuuming, mopping
Taking out the garbage
Laundering of lab coats, towels, tea towels etc. (Washing machine on site)
Carrying out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks
Carrying out minor maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats, unclogging sinks
Notifying management of repairs needed
Notifying management of low stocks of cleaning products
Following all health and safety regulations
Any other cleaning tasks as may be required
Desired Skills & Experience
Proven working experience as a cleaner
Previous experience cleaning laboratory spaces desirable
Must be organised, decisive, efficient and practical
Highly responsible and reliable
Capable of carrying out a physically active job
Fluent in English
Full training will be provided, including for the cleaning of the lab spaces. Cleaning materials and equipment will be supplied. You will have the ability to plan a regular cleaning routine and maintain it to a high standard.
This is a part time role on a 2 month fixed term contract with the view to make the position permanent. The hours will be 4-8h per week split over 2 different week days ideally in the evenings. We are open to discussing the exact working hours, days and times.
