Applied Scientific Technologies (AST) are an emerging company founded by Garry Lofthouse and Lee Raywood in 2017 Stokesley, North Yorkshire. AST are innovative specialists in robotics, automation and hardware integration in the life and physical sciences for laboratory and medical applications.

AST is focused specifically on the laboratory and digitalisation markets to help support customer’s automation journeys. Our team have decades of knowledge in the field of automation and control experience.

Specialising in Laboratory 4.0, Digital Twins, Collaborative and Autonomous Robots, System Integration, Internet of Things (IoT), SILA and Artificial Intelligence. AST use all the emerging technologies of the digital world available and apply them to the unique challenges faced by laboratory businesses to improve transparency and productivity.

AST have developed two revolutionary new products, namely Deft and Hyve™ as part of a digital roadmap and the Lab-of-the-Future landscape.

The use of Laboratory 4.0 and Internet of Thing (IoT) technologies future proofs both systems. HyveTM and Deft are compatible with Over-the-Air updates, system diagnostics and performance dashboards. The use and automation of processes to capture data in this way can be integrated as part of any Lab-of-the-Future program.
