European Laboratory Day returns on 5 November, celebrating the vital contributions of laboratory medicine professionals across Europe. Organised by the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM), the event encourages open-door activities to showcase the pivotal role labs play in public health, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical research.

With laboratory test results informing nearly 75% of global medical decisions, the EFLM emphasises the growing importance of the sector, especially following recent global health challenges. Next year, World Laboratory Day will also return on 23 April, further highlighting the contributions of lab professionals worldwide.
