Avantor state in their submission that their products are “Made from 100% recycled post-consumer polyester – including stitching, stud fasteners and label. Virgin polyester isn’t required, and our coats can be recycled completely at end of life. The recycling service is included in the cost of the garment, and a QR code on the label explains the process. Coats are collected free of charge and returned to a UK facility to turn them into rPET pellets, which can be spun back into yarn or turned into buttons, zips, fasteners, and other plastic components.”
