UK scientists working on breast cancer monitor fitted in bra
Scientists at Nottingham Trent University are developing a new technology device that will fit inside a bra and monitor a breast cancer tumour. This new device will specialise in overseeing ther growth of the tumour. The aim is the device can be used in the patients own homes, providing them a new non-invasive method of detecting tumour growth.
The device will use the electrical current to scan and detect changes in fluids insude and outside the cells of the breast, even to the tiniest degree. The device will be able to monitor tumour changes/ growths to as little as 2mm in real time.
