First image of new-born great white revealed!
Californian researchers have managed to capture the first ever image of a great white newborn. This image was taken on a drone last July.
This newborn animal, predicted to be days or hours old, was also spotted with a thin white film covering them. This is suspected to be from a skin condition. The shark was estimated to be around 5 feet long. This magnificant spot was captured by Carlos Gauna and Phillip Sternes. This is what they had to say:
“We enlarged the images, put them in slow motion, and realized the white layer was being shed from the body as it was swimming,”
